CHERP (Community Hooked on East River Park) is a group of volunteer advocates engaged in fostering awareness and participation in our neighborhood back yard, East River Park.
Our goal, in cooperation with the Parks Department, is to promote a safe, clean, beautiful green waterfront park for everyone to enjoy.

CHERP meets monthly at 6pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month to discuss plans for
East River Park, from gardening projects to attending Community Board meetings to coordinating efforts with all of the various entities involved with East River Park (Community Board, City Council, Parks Department, the Department of Transportation, and the Mayor's Office, to name a few).
